Eastern Mongolia

Khentii, eatern Mongolia is the birthplace of the Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan. It is situated in a region of great natural beauty, yet only a days (331 km) drive from the capital city Ulaanbaatar. After founding the Mongol Empire and being proclaimed "Genghis Khan," he started the Mongol invasions that resulted in the conquest of most of Eurasia.
