Detailed itinerary:

Day 1. Arrival

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to a hotel. (D) 

Day 2. Ancient city Kharkhorin, Erdene zuu monastery

After breakfast drive to ancient city Kharkhorin. Kharkhorin is located at the lower end of the upper valley of the Orkhon River which is included within UNESCOs World Heritage Site Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. The location marks the easternmost foothills of the Khangai Mountains, where they meet the rolling steppe of central Mongolia. Visit Erdene zuu monastery. The Erdene Zuu Monastery is probably the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Located in Övörkhangai Province, approximately 2 km north-east from the center of Kharkhorin and adjacent to the ancient city of Karakorum, it is part of the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site. Overnight in a tourist camp. (B, L, D)

Day 3. Elsen tasarkhai – semi dessert. Khugnu khan mountain

Drive to Elsen tasarkhai – semi dessert. Khugnu khan mountain. Overnight at camp. (B, L, D)

Day 4. Khustai national park

Drive to Khustai national park. Khustain Nuruu National Park, also known as Hustai National Park, is a large conservation area in central Mongolias Töv Province. Its known for its population of wild takhi (Przewalskis horse) and its ger camps. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in a hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 5. City tour, folklore concert

After breakfast visit State department store, Gobi factory store, Zaisan memorial, folklore concert. After dinner folklore concert. Overnight in a hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 6. Departure  

Departure day. Transfer to airport. (B)
