1.Ulaanbaatar city 
The  capital of Mongolia, a metropolis. Large economic and cultural center.
The  historical  part  of the  city is  a cultural  monument,  Bogd  Khan-Uul 
mountain  is   included  in  the  preliminary list of UNESCO. The city has a
developed infrastructure, there are many tourist facilities.   
                       

2.Monument of Genghis Khan (Statue in Tsonjin-Boldog)

The monument is the largest statue of the equestrian rider in the  world.
In Mongolia - also a large statue of Genghis Khan. Inside the pedestal of
the  40-meter  figure  there  is a  recreation area, at the top is a viewing
platform.

3.Gobi Desert

Located in the north of the country, the largest desert in Asia.  Virtually
not inhabited, on the territory there are nomadic tribes. The  vegetation
is sparse, but there are unique representatives of the fauna. Here is the
largest  dinosaur graveyard.

4.Kharkhorum - the ancient city

The ancient capital of Mongolia. He experienced two major advances in
the  entire  history  of  the  country, in the 1200s and in the 1600s. An
archaeological site listed by  UNESCO as  a  World  Heritage Site. Place 
of  ancient settlements, artisans quarter, temples. Here was the palace
of Khan Ugedei.

5.Monastery Gandantegchenlin

The existing Buddhist monastery, the  largest in Ulan Bator. Based on
the place of origin  of  the  city of Ulan Bator. The first religious center
of  Mongolia.  Landmark - a huge  statue  of  the  Golden  God Maggid
Zhanrayseg, installed in 1911.


6.Erdene-Zuu Monastery

Medieval Buddhist monastery, which is still in operation. The remaining

the statue of Buddha Ihe-Dzu. In addition to her, there are 11 religions
in the walls of Erdene zuu, which were transferred to the monastery by

7.Amarbaysgalant Monastery

Large  religious complex. All the buildings are distinguished by the unity
of style, with the  predominance of Chinese traditions. The monastery is
active, about  100 monks  live there permanently. A unique combination
of  architecture and  natural landscape is located in a picturesque valley
against  the hills covered with larch forests.

8.Choijin Lama Temple Museum

The  complex  of temples, located in the center of Ulan Bator. Built in the
early twentieth century. Currently - a museum of Mongolian religious art.
One of the best monuments of Mongolian architecture.

9.Winter Palace of Bogd khan

One  of  the brightest,  spectacular  sights  of  Mongolia.  The complex of
buildings, including the summer and winter palaces of  the  last emperor,
was  built  at  the  turn of the XIX and XX centuries. The summer palace
consists of several buildings of  traditional Chinese architecture. External
and  internal  murder  of  palaces  in excellent condition and provides an

10.Zaisan Memorial

The  complex  of  military glory on the hill Zaisan-Tolgoi, near Ulan Bator.

Khalkh-Gol  and  the  support  of  the Red Army of the Mongolian peoples
revolution. The complex has an original architectural solution. It was built

11.Sukh-Baatar Square

The main square of the capital of Mongolia. Cities are a public space. Now
bears  the  name  of  Genghis  Khan.  On  the  square  there  are  several
monuments, around are museums, a theater, business centers. There are
mass events, holidays.

12.Gorkhi-Terelj National Park

Natural Park, located 80 km from the capital. The mountain traditional for
this area is not covered by forest. Tourist infrastructure. There are  hotels,
recreation,  spa  resort. Visit a Buddhist temple and a  dinosaur  sculpture
park.

13.Kustain-Nuruu National Park

14.Gurvansaykhan (Gobi-Gurvan-Saikhan)

15.Lake Hovsgol

(The  younger  brother)  of  Baikal,   is  located  at  a  distance  of  200  km.
Freshwater lake, very deep. One of the 17 ancient lakes on Earth, older than
2 ml. of the year. Located between the  steppe and taiga landscapes, around
the  lake -  conservation  area.  Tourist base, on  the lake ferry. Popular eco-
tourist facility.

16.Lake Uvs

The largest in Mongolia, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The water
in  the  lake  is  salty.  The  world of animals and fish is very rich. Along the
shores, many  ancient monuments,  traces  of  life of primitive people, have
been  discovered. Currently,  there is no infrastructure around the lake, it is
difficult to reach it.

17.Elyn Am gorge

Deep and narrow gorge in the southern mountains of Mongolia. Another name
for the valley is the Vultures or Eagles. The gorge is located on the territory of
the  national  park.  Nearby  is the Gobi Desert, but in the depths of the gorge
almost always lies snow.

18.Valley of the Orkhon River

One  of the largest rivers of Mongolia, the longest. The valley of the river has a
varied terrain, in one place forms a waterfall. It is known for the archaeological
monuments  located  on  it,  which  are  part of UNESCO World Heritage. These
include Karakorum, Har Balgas, the tombs of the Huns.
