Itinerary:

Day 1. Arrival day 

Day 2. Visit ruin of ancient capital of Mongol empire and biggest historical site of Buddhism.

Day 3. Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall.

Day 4. Tsenher Hot SPA- spring with natural chemical components coming out from ground at+86c. Lay down in the warm and hot pool.

Day 5. Semi gobi dessert Elsen tasarkhai and Khustai national park

Day 6. Chingis khan statue complex and Gorkhi Terelj national park

Day 7. Back to Ulaanbaatar

Day 8: City tour and shopping

Day 9: Departure day


Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Our driver and guide will meet you at airport or train station. Transfer to hotel. Rest at hotel. (L, D).

Day 2: Ancient capital of the Mongol empire

Early in the morning we will go to the ruins of the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire - Kharkhorin. Upon arrival we will have lunch, after we will visit Erdene zuu monastery. Erdene zuu is the oldest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. The name translated means “100 Treasures”. By evening back to tourist camp, where we will have dinner. (B, L, D).

Day 3: Orkhon Waterfall

After lunch we will drive to waterfall Ulaan tsutgalan. Waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan is also known as Orkhon waterfall or Orkhonii Khurkhree. About 25m downstream from the waterfall you can climb down to the bottom of the gorge; it’s 22m deep and dotted with pine trees. (B, L, D).

Day 4: Tsenkher hot spring  

After breakfast we will have some free time. After lunch we will drive to Tsenkher hot spring. The hot springs of Tsenkher emerge from the ground at 86 celsius degree. Tsenkher Hot Spring is good for treating rheumatism, neuralgia, muscular pain and arthalgia and help improving digestive system, restoring immunity after surgery and recharging yourself. There you can relax in hot spa. (B, L, D).

Day 5: Semi gobi dessert Elsen tasarkhai and Khustai national park

After breakfast we will go to Khustai National Park. On the way, we will stop at semi gobi dessert Elsen Tasarkhai and visit nomadic family, where lunch will be arranged and we will be able to ride camels. Then we will continue our journey to the national park Khustai. Upon arrival there will be an opportunity to watch a small introductory film about the park and local wild horses (Przevalski horses). After a short rest, we will go deep into the park, where we will try to observe wild horses and other local animals. In the evening, dinner and rest at the tour base. (B, L, D).

 

Day 6: Chingis khan statue complex and Gorkhi Terelj national park

After breakfast we will go to the Chingis khan statue memorial complex. Arriving there and having dinner. We will visit a small museum. Upon request and for an additional fee, we can try on and take pictures in national clothes and armor of warriors. Afterwards we will go to Gorkhi Terelj National Park. There we will stay at the tourist camp and have dinner. In the evening free time. (B, L, D).

 

Day 7: Back to Ulaanbaatar

In the morning, after breakfast we will go to local attractions. The most famous of these is the Turtle Rock. After lunch we will return to Ulan Bator. In the evening, our driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the folklore performance. After watching the concert, dinner will be organized and you will be taken back to the hotel. Day 8: City tour

After breakfast, our guide and driver will meet you in the hotel and arrange a city tour. You will visit the Buddhist monastery Gandan, the central square and several museums. After lunch, you will go to the state department store, cashmere factory and Zaisan memorial complex. After dinner, you will be taken back to the hotel for a rest. (B, L, D).

 

Day 9: Departure day

After breakfast, our driver will take you to the airport or train station. (B)
